Year: 2009

Designed to be the Geelong headquarters of the TAC, this state-of-the-art building sets new standards in energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Working in collaboration with MGS Architects, the design team were able to create a well-balanced functional and aesthetic building.

Made up of over 15,000 square metres of net lettable area, the precinct includes car parking, retail, public spaces and other facilities for the end-user to enjoy. It has been designed to improve public amenity in the surrounding area and will provide a genuine catalyst for further growth in the locale.

The design of the new building is sympathetic to the heritage overlay of its location, and has been designed to provide a number of facilities for the building while still improving public amenity in the wider community.

Winning the 2009 RAIA Award for Commercial Architecture, the TAC Building balances energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and functional architecture.
